Shaun Mathis, Winner of the 2020 PVIFF – Jaro Short Film Competition, on the making of “ColorBlind”
Shaun Mathis—Director, Writer and Producer of ColorBlind shares his intimate thoughts behind the making of this 1st Place Award Winning film (2020 PVIFF). As a black man, the fear of being killed unjustly by police is a constant fear. However, instead of making a film like that, Mathis chose to make Color Blind from a perspective to show people just how close to home a tragedy like this can happen just by the way an individual perceives another or who’s perception is changed by the thoughts and opinions of others
